The presence of high humidity is easily recognized in walk-in coolers by the Moisture present on the ceilings, walls, and floor, and by ice or snow build-up in freezers. In addition, a high level of fog may appear when the door is opened, which requires the cooler/freezer door to remain open longer to improve visibility inside the cooler/freezer. Leaving the door open longer in a humid environment just perpetuates the problem. Adding a Mega Freeze® filter behind each evaporator coil inside the cooler/freezer can reduce the humidity inside the cooler/freezer. The Mega Freeze® filter adsorbs this moisture, allowing the air to become drier and colder. Fogging inside the cooler/freezer and the presence of moisture or frost will be eliminated by removing the excess moisture from the air, as well as safety hazards from slippery floors.
