Mega Cold Brick™
- What is it?
The
Mega Cold Brick™ eliminates “fogging” and condensation on the inside of glass
doors and lowers temperatures in coolers that need cold, but not freezing
temperatures.
The presence of high humidity is easily recognized in coolers
by the moisture and fogging present on the inside of glass doors. Adding a
Mega Cold Brick™ can reduce the humidity inside the cooler.
The Mega Cold Brick™ adsorbs this moisture, allowing the air to
become drier and colder. Fogging inside the cooler and the presence of
moisture will be eliminated.
The drier air will typically
result in 3-7 degrees lower cooler temperatures, allowing colder beverage
availability to store customers. The compressor run time will be less to
maintain the thermostat setting for the cooler, which saves energy and extends
the life of the refrigeration equipment. Typical applications include
draft boxes, bottle coolers, vending machine operations, reach-in coolers,
prep-line coolers, wine coolers, and anywhere cooler products with less
condensation is desired. Each Mega Cold Brick™ will accommodate up to 100
cubic feet of refrigerator space. If colder or drier conditions are required,
add additional Mega Cold Bricks™.
The easy-to-install, low-cost
filter is a 100% all-natural zeolite-based drying agent that removes excess
moisture from the cooler compartment air, improving the performance of
refrigeration systems. The filter is non-toxic, non-corrosive,
non-flammable, stable, and non-irritating. Each Mega Cold Brick™
weighs approximately
three pounds and has 5” x 7.5” x 3” dimensions. The bricks can be custom
made to fit your space if necessary. Install the Mega Cold Brick(s)™
on a shelf inside the cooler or behind the evaporator unit.
